20th Euro Lambretta Jamboree

The 20th Euro Lambretta Jamboree is being organised by the Lambretta Club of Great Britain and the LCGB Committee are putting all our efforts into ensuring it is a highly successful event.

As you can appreciate it has been an extremely difficult task trying to work out a system that is fair to all members, both here in the UK and those in other national clubs.

For those members who have not been to one before, Euro Lambretta rallies are organised and run according to a fairly long-established format.

One of the guidelines is that tickets to the Euro are allocated broadly on the basis of each national clubs membership and turnout at previous Jamborees.

What we have tried to do is stay true to this basic format while at the same time recognising that the LCGB has the largest membership of all Lambretta clubs worldwide and many UK members may want to attend if possible.

As with any event where you are trying to ensure that facilities are not overwhelmed by those attending, we are restricted to a maximum number of tickets that can be made available - in this case 1,000 tickets in total.

This will still make it much bigger than the past few years Euro Lambretta events, which will hopefully allow as many LCGB members as possible to attend.

So how will the ticket allocation work?

Tickets initially will be split 50/50 between LCGB members and other European Lambretta club members, based on the criteria set out above.
Here in the UK tickets will initially be offered to members only on a first-come, first-served basis. Those eligible to apply must have been members before the cut-off date of 1st December 2008. Tickets will be placed on sale on the 12th January 2009.
Please note; Applications received before that date will be returned. LCGB members will only be allowed to purchase ONE ticket per member at this stage. This initial allocation of tickets will be available until 31st March 2009 or until all tickets are sold out.

After this date, we will then know what the take-up of tickets has been from other national Lambretta clubs. We will also know whether any tickets are left from the original allocation for LCGB members. At this point all remaining tickets - whether left over from the initial batch or coming back from other clubs - will be made available to new members who joined the LCGB after the 1st December 2008. These tickets will also be available for guests of LCGB members, Again, they will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Please note we can't guarantee how many tickets will be available at this stage.

We appreciate that there will be some long-standing LCGB members who would like to bring their families along to this Euro Lambretta Jamboree, especially as it is being held here in the UK for the first time since 2000. We are asking for your patience and understanding; Our priority, in fairness, is to ensure that the clubs 3500 members are given the opportunity to attend before the invitation is extended to family members.

Other Information

The cost of tickets for next years event is set at £79 each. This is an increase on the prices in 2008 and the year before. However, after some mixed experiences in recent years, we are trying to provide high quality camping, catering, and entertainment in a way that will - hopefully- reflect the LCGBs standing in the Lambretta community worldwide.
